Moptop Return Policy
We stand behind every product we make, and we want you to love your curls as much as we do. If something misses the mark, you’re covered by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee but there are some restrictions. Please read below before completing your purchase.
Retail-Size Returns (2–12 oz)
You may return any retail-size item purchased on our website within 30 days of purchase, as long as it’s at least ¾ full. (For online orders, the ship date is considered the purchase date.)
- Only one opened item per order is eligible for return.
- All additional items must be unopened and in original condition to receive a full refund (shipping not included).
- Refunds are issued to your original form of payment.
*Opened or partially used items may qualify for a partial refund or merchandise credit, depending on condition.
To start a return, email us at orders@moptophair.com and we’ll send you the return details and shipping address.
Large Sizes (16 oz + 32 oz)
We do not accept returns on these sizes. Since retail sizes are available, we recommend trying the smaller size if you’re new to the product.
Shipping Costs
Shipping and handling charges—both the original outbound cost and the cost to return items—are non-refundable.
How to Send Your Return
Please package your products securely (tape those caps!) and include a copy of your receipt.
Returned items must be postmarked within 30 days of the original delivery date.
We reserve the right to decline returns that don’t meet the requirements above.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We pack every order with care, but sometimes the journey from our shelves to your doorstep gets messy. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll make it right.
To help us process your claim quickly, please send photos of:
- A side view of the item(s) with the front label visible
- The shipping box — inside and outside — so we can file a claim with the carrier
These issues must be reported within 5 days of delivery to qualify for replacement.
A Quick Note About Mongongo Oil
Because Mongongo Oil is thicker and comes in a flip-top bottle, we add a pressure seal to prevent leaks. If that tab looks “broken,” don’t worry — it simply means the bottle shifted during shipping and the seal did its job. No impact to quality or safety.
